Diriyah's Cultural Significance
Located on the outskirts of Riyadh, Diriyah is celebrated as the birthplace of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the ancestral home of the Al Saud royal family.
The area includes the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif, a testament to its historical and cultural importance.
In January 2023, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz announced Diriyah as the Public Investment Fund's (PIF) fifth giga-project, underscoring its pivotal role in the nation's cultural and tourism strategy.
