Located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, just steps from Monument Circle and the Indiana State Capitol, the hotel promises to redefine luxury accommodation in the city. As the first upscale hotel launch in nearly two decades, InterContinental Indianapolis will offer 170 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites. Guests can also look forward to two distinctive dining options, including Indianapolis’ first rooftop bar, a round-the-clock fitness center, 5,000 square feet of versatile event and meeting space, and the city’s only Penthouse Suite, perched on a private floor with sweeping views of Monument Circle.

Locally developed and owned by Keystone Group, the hotel is nestled within the historic Illinois Building, originally constructed in 1926. This landmark has undergone an impressive $110 million transformation, blending classic architecture with modern elegance to bring a fresh take on Indianapolis’ famed Hoosier Hospitality. With this reimagining, InterContinental Indianapolis is set to become a must-visit destination for discerning travelers.

Once listed among Indiana’s most endangered landmarks, the Illinois Building now stands proudly as an 11-story structure, featuring an added floor and an eye-catching gold-glazed terra cotta cornice. Its original limestone and granite exterior, detailed with Moderne bas-relief panels, has been carefully preserved. The historic lobby’s ornate features are seamlessly integrated with a new, modern canopy, welcoming guests through striking brass doors framed by intricate grillwork and alabaster accents. Inside, visitors will find a grand staircase leading to a second-floor lounge and a curated selection of artwork by Indiana-based artists, commissioned exclusively for the hotel. This thoughtful blend of local culture and timeless sophistication will create an unforgettable experience at InterContinental Indianapolis.

When it opens, InterContinental Indianapolis will deliver a personalized and attentive guest experience with a dedicated full-service concierge. This concierge team will offer guests insider insights, cultural connections, and assistance in fully experiencing all that Indianapolis has to offer. When guests want to unwind, they’ll find an array of premium in-room amenities, from Nespresso machines and curated mini bars to luxurious BYREDO Bal D’Afrique-scented amenities. Blending attentive service with refined comforts, InterContinental Indianapolis is poised to be a premier choice for travelers seeking both relaxation and discovery.

Helming the hotel’s culinary offerings, renowned Indiana chef Craig Baker will serve as Executive Chef, overseeing all food and beverage experiences. This includes the much-anticipated Serliana Café on the second floor and the stunning Astrea Rooftop Bar, set to be the highest rooftop bar in Indianapolis, with exclusive views of Monument Circle and the Indiana State Capitol. Guests can also indulge in fine dining at Hyde Park Steakhouse on the ground floor.
