Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: ULCC), known for its ultra-low fares, has unveiled its 2023 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report. This in-depth document details the latest steps taken by America's Greenest Airline to advance its environmental stewardship, strengthen governance and risk management, enhance the well-being of customers and team members, foster employee diversity and a positive work culture, and engage with the community.

Environmental Sustainability Highlights:

In our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, we have begun implementing an out-and-back network design. This innovative approach ensures that aircraft and crew return to their home base nightly on approximately 80 percent of scheduled flights, enhancing operational efficiency and contributing to lower greenhouse gas emissions. We continue to operate the most fuel-efficient fleet among major U.S. carriers, achieving over 104 available seat miles (ASMs) per gallon of fuel consumed as of December 2023, saving around 160 million gallons of fuel compared to the industry average. Our fleet, with an average age of just 4.3 years as of December 2023, remains one of the youngest in North America.

Our pilots adopt fuel-saving practices such as reverse thrust, single-engine taxi, and the avoidance of Auxiliary Power Unit techniques. We have also implemented measures to reduce aircraft weight, including a la carte food and beverage services with minimal packaging and lighter aircraft seats. To further our sustainability efforts, we have eliminated plastic stirrers, introduced biodegradable beverage cups onboard, and transitioned to paperless cockpits with electronic manuals. Our aircraft engines feature a reduced noise footprint, and we have introduced additional aircraft with tails highlighting threatened and endangered species to raise awareness about their conservation.

Commitment to Customers and Team Members:

We are steadfast in our commitment to maintaining high safety standards across all areas of our operations. By participating in industry-wide initiatives, we share safety-related data to support best practices and learning. Our dedication to data security and customer privacy remains paramount. We offer compensation and benefits that support the financial, mental, and physical well-being of our employees and their families, alongside extensive training and professional development opportunities.

We are devoted to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within our workforce, partnering with aviation industry employee advocacy groups, and establishing business resource groups that support our diverse team members. We respect and support our crew members' choices regarding union participation and collective bargaining.

Community Engagement:

Our commitment to community engagement is evident through our volunteerism, in-kind donations, and fundraising efforts. In 2023, we raised $395,000 for Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization providing scholarships to families of service members who have fallen or been disabled in the line of duty. This brings our total contribution to nearly $1 million, demonstrating our dedication to giving back and supporting those in need.
