The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (BMOTIA) has confirmed that Carnival Cruise Line̢۪s Celebration Key, a $600 million private cruise island, is set to open on July 19, 2025.
Located in Grand Bahama, this exclusive destination will host its inaugural visit from Carnival Vista, welcoming thousands of passengers to a luxury island retreat.
Celebration Key, developed in partnership with the Government of The Bahamas, is expected to boost local tourism, create jobs, and enhance cruise tourism infrastructure.
Celebration Key will be an exclusive port of call for over 500 Carnival cruise itineraries, spanning 20 ships from 10 U.S. homeports, significantly boosting visitor numbers to Grand Bahama.
The Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) estimates that the new cruise port will generate thousands of jobs, with direct benefits to local businesses, artisans, and service providers.
Carnival Cruise Line has partnered with the Bahamas Ministry of Environment & Natural Resources to ensure eco-conscious development, including waste management systems, coral reef preservation, and responsible tourism initiatives.
Proof of ancient olive trees and grapevines, consistent with a Bible verse, has been found at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, an archaeologist confirms.
