Excitement is building at CanadaâÃâ¬Ãâ¢s Wonderland as the theme park announces its latest attraction, AlpenFury, set to open in 2025. Promising to be the longest, tallest, and fastest launch roller coaster in Canada, AlpenFury will redefine the thrill-seeking experience for coaster enthusiasts across the nation.
Unveiled on Thursday, AlpenFury is designed to be a dual-launch roller coaster, reaching incredible top speeds of 115 km/h. The ride features a thrilling launch inside the iconic Wonder Mountain, propelling riders vertically out of its summit, soaring 50 meters into the sky. Following the vertical launch, riders will experience a heart-pounding journey through twists and turns, including nine breathtaking inversions âÃâ¬Ãâ the most for any launch coaster in North America.
A New Standard for Thrill Rides
The introduction of AlpenFury represents a significant milestone for CanadaâÃâ¬Ãâ¢s Wonderland. As the latest addition to the parkâÃâ¬Ãâ¢s lineup of world-class attractions, this roller coaster promises to deliver an unparalleled experience in terms of speed, height, and excitement. With a track length of approximately 1,000 meters, AlpenFury will provide a ride duration of about 1 minute and 20 seconds, offering a compact yet intensely exhilarating adventure for its 18 passengers per ride.
Engineering Marvel
The engineering behind AlpenFury is a testament to modern amusement park design and technology. Dual-launch coasters are a rarity, and the integration of such a system within the existing Wonder Mountain structure is an impressive feat. The initial launch inside the mountain adds an element of suspense and surprise, as riders are shot out of the summit with breathtaking force. This unique start sets the tone for the remainder of the ride, which includes high-speed maneuvers and inversions that will challenge even the most seasoned thrill-seekers.
