This 5.5 km extension, authorized in 2019, serves the northern suburb of Neder-over-Heembeek and has been under construction for the past two years.
The route branches off from the existing tram network at Hembeek and includes eight stops before reaching its final destination at Ḫ̫pital Militaire.
Tram route 10 operates through the north-south premetro tunnel, terminating at Churchill.
It replaces the former route 3, whose number is set to be reassigned to a forthcoming automated metro line, currently under construction.
Once this new metro line is operational, tram route 10 will be shortened to Rogier.
