Again, Delta Airlines Airbus A350-900 Flight to Sydney Makes Emergency Landing at Los Angeles International Airport After Smoke Detected Onboard, All One Hundred and Sixty Two Passengers Rebooked on Alternate Flight

Delta Airlines flight DL43 from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Sydney was forced to make an emergency landing after smoke was detected onboard the aircraft. The Airbus A350-900, registered as N514DN, took off just after 9 p.m. on Saturday and returned to LAX approximately 30 minutes later as a safety precaution.

The pilots reported the presence of smoke and declared an emergency to receive priority clearance for landing. Upon returning to the gate, no smoke was detected in the cockpit; however, pilots requested medical attention for passengers who may have been affected by the smoke, according to Live ATC communication.

All 162 passengers on board were safely evacuated and later rebooked on an alternate flight to Sydney. Delta Airlines coordinated with ground staff at LAX to ensure the comfort and safety of affected passengers while arranging alternative travel arrangements.

The airline also provided medical assistance to passengers as a safety precaution. No serious injuries were reported, and affected passengers received the necessary medical evaluations.
