The race will take competitors from Stevenage and Peckham Rye to Hastings and Eastbourne, with social media stars joining each team to add an extra level of excitement and competition.
To increase the stakes, GTR has partnered with popular social media influencers who will compete alongside the GTR colleagues in this thrilling race.
Morgan M-James, a TikTok star with over one million followers, will represent Team Southern, while Lou Lou Explores, known for her vibrant travel adventures, will join Team Thameslink.
Vaguely Mundane, famous for his engaging transport content, will round out the competitors by joining Team Great Northern.
The epic competition will conclude with a grand finale at The Odyssey in St Albans City, where the winning team will be crowned, marking the culmination of an unforgettable race.
Research shows that 67% of TikTok users have searched for travel-related content on the platform, making this competition even more exciting for social media audiences and participants.
This partnership between GTR and social media influencers is designed to engage a younger, tech-savvy audience while highlighting the incredible destinations across the GTR network.
To enter, participants must follow the official Instagram accounts @southernrailuk, @tlrailuk, and @gnrailuk.
Then, they must comment on a dedicated Instagram post, which will go live on 15th February, using the hashtag #TeamThameslink, #TeamGreatNorthern, or #TeamSouthern to indicate which team they believe will win. Entries will close at 23:59 on Sunday, 16th February.
