Despite these hurdles, the development team was scheduled to celebrate a major construction milestone on Thursday, marking the structural completion of the Embassy Suites by Hilton. However, Mother Nature had other plans, forcing the event to be postponed.

Hurricane Francine, which brought heavy rains and winds to the Gulf Coast, has added to the difficulties the project has encountered over the years. Supply chain issues, fluctuating material costs, and labor shortages have contributed to delays, but the storm now presents yet another obstacle.
