United Airlines has announced a significant capacity increase on flights between Ireland and the United States, with plans to expand services by more than 40% as part of its summer 2025 schedule.
United Airlines has announced a significant capacity increase on flights between Ireland and the United States, with plans to expand services by more than 40% as part of its summer 2025 schedule.
From March 29, 2025, United will double its daily services between Dublin and Washington Dulles International Airport, increasing from one to two flights per day.
Part of Broader Transatlantic Expansion
Summer 2025 will see the launch of new routes from Newark to Bilbao, Spain, and Faro, Portugal, as well as new services from Washington Dulles to Nice, France, and Venice, Italy.
JetBlue Joins the Summer Expansion
Meanwhile, US carrier JetBlue is also expanding its European footprint.
The airline will also introduce a daily summer service between Boston and Edinburgh, running from May 23 to October 25.
With these additions, JetBlue will serve seven European airports across six cities from its Boston hub next summer.
Current destinations include year-round services to London Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle, as well as seasonal routes to Amsterdam Schiphol, Dublin, and London Gatwick.

With United Airlines and JetBlue both ramping up transatlantic services, travelers can look forward to more options and enhanced connectivity between Europe and the US for summer 2025.
