UK travel agencies are on the brink of transformative growth as Jet2holidays launches its groundbreaking Scale Up Your Street campaign, offering a powerful mix of funding, branding, and business development support. Designed to uplift independent travel agents across the country, this initiative will help up to ten selected partners open new retail locations with the backing of expert mentorship, marketing resources, and potentially six-figure financial investment. By inviting ambitious agents to pitch their retail concepts and growth plans, Jet2holidays is taking bold steps to strengthen the high street presence of the UK̢۪s travel industry.
Interested agents must submit a detailed written proposal explaining their retail concept, target customer segments, branding strategy, and comprehensive business plan. Proposals can be submitted via an online entry form, with the submission deadline set for April 30, 2025.
Jet2holidays encourages applications from agents aiming to grow their current retail presence, those planning their first physical storefront, and even travel consultants working from home who seek to transition into a retail space.
A judging panel from Jet2holidays will evaluate submissions and shortlist candidates based on creativity, practicality, and growth potential. Finalists will then present their business proposals in person to an expert panel featuring Alan Cross (Jet2holidays Director of Travel Agent Relationships), Lloyd Cross (General Manager Trade Sales at Jet2holidays), Nicola Park (Owner and Director at Seaside Travel), and Don Bircham (Franchise Owner at Hays Travel Mold). Each panel member will have a designated fund from Jet2holidays to allocate, and finalists must convincingly pitch for these investments.
Moreover, winners gain continuous access to market insights and ongoing mentorship from seasoned industry professionals, equipping them with essential tools and knowledge for sustainable retail success.
