Holland America Line, renowned for its destination-rich, extended cruises, has unveiled an enhanced 2026 Grand Voyage itinerary aboard Volendam. This updated journey includes an enriching exploration of Panama, East and Southeast Asia, Central America, select U.S. destinations, and a Panama Canal transit.

The revised route replaces the originally planned passage through the Red Sea. In response to the evolving regional situation and guidance from global security experts, Holland America has opted for this rerouting.

The modifications impact the final 54 days of the voyage, which, with a crossing of the International Dateline, now extends from 132 to 133 days. The enhanced itinerary includes 51 distinctive ports across 23 countries and territories on five continents, concluding as scheduled on May 17, 2026, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

New Asia and Pacific Coast Ports

Following the planned overnight in Singapore, guests will venture north to the vibrant cities of Vietnam, visiting Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City), Nha Trang, and Halong Bay (Hanoi). The ship will then overnight in Hong Kong, followed by stops in Kaohsiung and Keelung (Taipei), Taiwan.

Japan awaits with six distinct ports, including overnight stays in Nagasaki and Tokyo, offering guests a deeper exploration of Japanese culture. A transpacific crossing leads to scenic Alaska, where Volendam will dock in Kodiak, Sitka, and Ketchikan before moving south along the U.S. Pacific Coast with calls in Seattle and San Diego. The journey continues to Mexico, El Salvador, and concludes with an overnight in Panama City, Panama, and a Panama Canal transit, before a stop in Cartagena, Colombia, and finally arriving in Fort Lauderdale.
