SWISS has confirmed the addition of five more Airbus A350-900 aircraft to its fleet, set for delivery starting in 2027. This expansion comes on top of the five Airbus A350s already on order, forming part of the airline's ongoing investment in next-generation long-haul travel. The new aircraft, featuring the innovative ‘SWISS Senses' cabin design, will be gradually introduced to service from summer 2025 through to the end of 2031.
As a key player in the Lufthansa Group's fleet modernization, SWISS will receive a total of ten Airbus A350-900s, further enhancing its long-haul fleet. The Airbus A350-900 is renowned for its advanced technology, fuel efficiency, and reduced carbon footprint. With cutting-edge engines that significantly lower fuel consumption and noise pollution, this aircraft is at the forefront of sustainable aviation.
The first of the new Airbus A350s will join the SWISS fleet in summer 2025, with the remaining nine aircraft to be delivered gradually over the next six years. SWISS will finalize the routes for its new fleet in the coming months, determining how these advanced aircraft will enhance its global network.
