Rex Airline Group and several of its subsidiaries have entered voluntary administration. The affected subsidiaries are listed in the attached schedule. Samuel Freeman, Justin Walsh, and Adam Nikitins from Ernst & Young Australia (EY Australia) have been appointed as Joint and Several Voluntary Administrators by the Boards of Directors of the Rex Group.

Despite the administration, regional Saab 340 flights will continue to operate as scheduled. Prepaid ticket holders can rest assured that their tickets will be honored on regional routes. The Rex Group remains committed to serving regional and remote communities across Australia, maintaining its long and proud history.

Virgin Australia has extended a generous offer to affected Rex passengers, allowing them to transfer their tickets free of charge to one of the 13 overlapping Virgin Australia services. Eligible customers must contact the Virgin Australia Guest Contact Centre at 13 67 89 or visit www.virginaustralia.com by Wednesday, 14 August 2024, to take advantage of this rebooking offer. Passengers should only go to the airport after rebooking their flights to avoid any inconvenience.

The Administrators express their gratitude to Virgin Australia for its support during this challenging period, on behalf of the impacted Rex customers and regional communities.

This announcement has been authorised by the Joint and Several Voluntary Administrators of the Rex Group.
