Meliá Hotels International, Spain’s leading hotel group and the third-largest in Europe, is set to strengthen its global presence with ambitious plans for 2025.
The group will open 15 new luxury hotels, building on its strong performance in 2024, which saw luxury sales grow by 14% compared to 2023.
Expanding Luxury in Europe, the Americas, and Asia
In 2025, the brand will debut in iconic destinations such as Lisbon, Malta, Marbella, and Malaga, with notable additions including ME Malta, designed by Zaha Hadid, and ME Lisbon, featuring a panoramic Radio Rooftop Bar and over 6,500 square feet of event space.
This growth marks a significant milestone, as the group aims to double its presence in Mexico over the next two years.
ZEL, a lifestyle brand created in collaboration with tennis legend Rafael Nadal, continues its ambitious growth.
Following its debut in Mallorca in 2023 and expansion to Costa Brava in 2024, ZEL will open its first Caribbean property, ZEL Punta Cana, in December.
