The Maldives has once again cemented its status as a global tourism leader by securing an impressive 30 awards at the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2024. The prestigious event, held on Friday, 20th September 2024, at the Aloft Kathmandu, Nepal, was supported by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Hotels Association of Nepal (HAN).

The Maldives has once again cemented its status as a global tourism leader by securing an impressive 30 awards at the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2024. The prestigious event, held on Friday, 20th September 2024, at the Aloft Kathmandu, Nepal, was supported by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Hotels Association of Nepal (HAN).

Among the accolades, the Maldives took home 15 SATA Gold Awards, celebrating excellence across various segments of its hospitality and tourism sector. Notably, the country received the coveted Visitors' Choice Award for Leading Beach Destination, further affirming its reputation as a top destination for beach holidays. The Maldives previously claimed this award in 2023, 2017, and 2016. Additionally, the country garnered 14 SATA Silver Awards, demonstrating its continued excellence in numerous categories.
