Hollywood Burbank Airport Achieves Historic Growth with Approx. Seven Million Travelers in 2024

Hollywood Burbank Airport experienced unprecedented growth for the second year in a row, with passenger traffic reaching all-time highs in 2024. Over 6.5 million travelers passed through the airport, surpassing the record-breaking numbers achieved in 2023.

December passenger numbers reflect a 4.4% rise compared to November 2023, marking steady growth in November 2024.

In December, commercial airline operations grew by 3.9%, while general aviation operations surged by an impressive 65% compared to December 2023. However, total air cargo experienced a decline of 3.6%.

The leading airlines for December 2024, based on passenger volume, were Southwest Airlines with 336,426 passengers, Alaska Airlines with 81,440 passengers, and United Airlines with 48,961 passengers.
