Heymondo, a prominent travel insurance provider in Southern Europe, has announced that J.C. Flowers & Co., a private investment firm specializing in the financial services sector, has acquired a majority stake in the company. This strategic partnership aims to enhance Heymondo's expansion across Europe and other international markets while driving growth and advancing its distribution platform.

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Barcelona, Heymondo provides an innovative digital platform for purchasing and managing travel insurance. The platform offers a fully digital experience, allowing users to handle claims through a mobile app for a streamlined and personalized process.

Currently operating in Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, and the United States, Heymondo was initially supported by business angels and venture capital funds, including Banco Sabadell, Bankinter, Howzat Partners, and the Family Office Cartera de Inversiones CM. These investors will exit the company following regulatory approval.
