Expedia Cruises has announced the signing of two new franchise agreements to extend its presence in the western United States, according to a press release.

The Bountiful, Utah franchise is set to open in late 2024, led by husband-and-wife duo Ramon and Garimirka Chaparro.

Ramon, with decades of experience in finance, and Garimirka, who has a background in marketing and human resources, are first-time franchisees.

The Boise, Idaho location, expected to open in mid-2025, will be the first Expedia Cruises franchise in the state, the company said.

This franchise is owned by Mike and LesliAnn Hansen, another husband-and-wife team.

As the appetite for travel grows, Expedia Cruises said it aims to meet the increasing demand with local expertise and personalized service.

With a strong foothold in Canada, Expedia Cruises is aggressively expanding in the U.S., particularly in the western states, which are expected to generate over $161.9 billion in franchise revenue this year, according to a report.

The company plans to award 25 new franchises and add 2,400 vacation consultants in 2024, with a long-term goal of reaching 500 locations.
