The Bountiful, Utah franchise is set to open in late 2024, led by husband-and-wife duo Ramon and Garimirka Chaparro.
Ramon, with decades of experience in finance, and Garimirka, who has a background in marketing and human resources, are first-time franchisees.
The Boise, Idaho location, expected to open in mid-2025, will be the first Expedia Cruises franchise in the state, the company said.
This franchise is owned by Mike and LesliAnn Hansen, another husband-and-wife team.
As the appetite for travel grows, Expedia Cruises said it aims to meet the increasing demand with local expertise and personalized service.
With a strong foothold in Canada, Expedia Cruises is aggressively expanding in the U.S., particularly in the western states, which are expected to generate over $161.9 billion in franchise revenue this year, according to a report.
The company plans to award 25 new franchises and add 2,400 vacation consultants in 2024, with a long-term goal of reaching 500 locations.
The 2025 Jubilee will bring tourists to the Vatican, Rome and Italy to celebrate the Catholic tradition of patrons asking for forgiveness of sins. Hope will be a central theme.
