Emirates has officially resumed daily direct flights from Dubai to Adelaide, marking a significant milestone for South Australia and promising a multi-million-dollar boost to tourism and local economy.

The inaugural flight landed last night, connecting the region to over 140 destinations worldwide.

This development is expected to generate an annual economic impact of $160 million, with tourism expenditures alone estimated at over $62 million per year.

The daily service is projected to create more than 315 full-time tourism-related jobs in South Australia.

The flights will be operated using a Boeing 777-200LR, offering 302 seats and 14 tonnes of cargo capacity per flight.

In total, the service will provide over 4,200 weekly seats and a cargo capacity of 196 tonnes, with freight exports valued at an estimated $98 million annually.

With the reinstatement of this service, more than 220,400 passengers are anticipated to travel between Dubai and Adelaide each year, enhancing connectivity for both tourists and businesses.
