Decatur County Tourism Director Resigns, Search for Successor to Begin

Philip Deiwert, Executive Director of Decatur County Tourism, has announced his resignation after six years of service to the county.

Deiwert will transition to a new role with Hendricks County Tourism, effective February 7, 2025, according to an official statement from the Decatur County Visitors and Recreation Commission.

As the county begins the process of selecting a new tourism director, the board remains focused on delivering ongoing projects and ensuring a smooth transition. Key goals include enhancing local partnerships, increasing marketing efforts, and maintaining collaboration with state-level tourism initiatives.
