The Australian Airports Association (AAA), representing airports nationwide, has announced Simon Westaway as its new Chief Executive Officer.

With a career spanning over 25 years in senior leadership, Mr. Westaway brings a deep well of experience to this pivotal role. His professional journey includes key executive positions within the aviation and tourism industries, notably at Jetstar (a division of Qantas Group), Impulse Airlines, and Tourism Australia. Additionally, he has served as Executive Director of the Australian Tourism Industry Council, further solidifying his expertise in the sector.

The AAA also extends sincere thanks to Greg Fordham OAM who has served as interim CEO of theorganisation.

The AAA serves as the national representative for airports, advocating for the interests of over 340 airports and aerodromes throughout Australia. This includes everything from small community airstrips to major international gateway airports. Additionally, the AAA represents more than 150 corporate members who provide essential products and services to the airport industry.

The Cloudbreak Music Festival is back for its third year, beginning November 7 and running through November 27, with Seattle’s hotels offering a musical treat to their guests. The festival has grown substantially since its inception in 2021, featuring over 200 artists performing at 34 different venues. The festivities kick off tonight at The Crocodile with performances by Naked Giants and La Fonda starting at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening an hour earlier.
