Last year's mega-hit from Nintendo followed in Breath of the Wild's footsteps as a direct sequel, but it rewrote the formula of its open-world take on Hyrule with new crafting, physics, and exploration mechanics. It's the kind of game that opens up all kinds of avenues for your creativity to shine - or you can just really mess with stuff in the world and cheese your way through puzzles in fun ways.

But outside of making wacky gizmos and crafting janky robots to ride into battle, it's another tale of Link having to save Zelda from Ganon. The newer Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, starring Zelda as main playable protagonist, changes things up a little more in its own way.
