O'Keefe Media Group founder James O'Keefe was detained by police while working on a story in Vermont, the investigative journalist announced in an X post.

"My team and I have been detained near the Canadian border by the Vermont State police," O'Keefe confirmed on Monday. "I'm announcing something big. It's not a video it's something I've been working on for a year," the post continued.

"I'll be on stage in Fort Worth, Texas, with Tucker Carlson tomorrow to make the announcement. Stay tuned."

O'Keefe is generally considered to be one of the most prominent investigative reporters in America. From the ACORN videos, to Project Veritas to OMG, O'Keefe's stories generally center on undercover videos in which unsuspecting government and corporate employees share controversial insights.

O'Keefe's investigations have centered on the border crisis, election interference on the part of government and corporate officials, and much more.

In a statement to The Post Millennial, OMG further confirmed the reports. "He was detained by the Vermont state police for working on a special project and we're hoping for the best on this one," the group said.

While it is unclear what exactly O'Keefe was investigating in Vermont, he has been spent significant time researching donations to the left-wing fundraising arm ActBlue in recent weeks.

In March, O'Keefe traveled to Maryland and spoke with residents whose names and addresses were linked to tens-of-thousands in donations to ActBlue and other left-wing organizations or political candidates. Almost all residents said that they had donated to ActBlue and other campaigns, though all denied making large contributions.

Federal Election Commission data analyzed by Election Watch, a citizen journalist group, revealed that hundreds of senior citizens across the nation had been making hundreds and, in some cases, thousands of individual donations to ActBlue and other campaigns.

One senior citizen had made 1,009 individual donations for a total of $18,849.77 since 2022. While she did say that she had made donations to ActBlue and Joe Biden's election campaign, she vehemently denied having donated more than $18,000 and was shocked by the news.

Multiple states have opened investigations into ActBlue as a result of the reports.
