Entries have opened for the 2024 AA Prize for Unbuilt Work, the only public recognition for unrealised designs in Australia.

The jury for the 2024 prize comprises influential industry voices who have been appointed based on their expertise, professional standing and profile.

Nigel Bertram is a director of NMBW Architecture Studio in Melbourne, which he stablished with Marika Neustupny and Lucinda McLean in 1997. NMBW's work has been recognized with numerous industry awards, including jointly winning the inaugural ArchitectureAU Award for Social Impact. Bertram is also a practice professor of architecture at Monash University where he leads research project on design-led processes for urban regeneration and retrofits for existing environments.

Leah Lang is the Queensland Government Architect and an experience strategic design advisor. Prior to her appointment in 2021, she served four years of City Architect of the Gold Coast, where she oversaw large-scale projects including the Gold Coast Light Rail and Home of the Arts (HOTA) Gallery. She has also been appointed to various high-profile design boards, panels and juries.

Jennie Officer is a founding director of Office Woods Architects in Perth. The practice's built work has been widely published and awarded at state and national levels. Officer is also a lecturer at the School of Design at the University of Western Australia and a member of the Western Australian Design Review Panel. She has served as a jury member for peer-reviewed awards programs.

Peter Tonkin is a director of Tonkin Zulaikha Greer, established in 1987. The practice has amassed approximately 140 industry awards for its work, including the 2022 NSW Architecture Medallion for Walsh Bay Arts Precinct, and the 2023 Premier Award for Australian Interior Design for Campbell House. Tonkin is also a former adjunct professor of architecture at the University of Queensland and the University of Canberra.

Georgia Birks is associate editor at Architecture Media, curator of Design Speaks and co-curator of the Asia Pacific Architecture Festival. She is descendant of the Birpai, Dunghutti and Kamilaroi peoples and a member of the Australian Institute of Architects First Nations Advisory Committee, as well as the City of Melbourne's Design Excellence Advisory Committee.
