Does architecture have a diversity problem?

That's the question the Australian Institute of Architects is looking to answer with its national diversity and inclusion survey, which is open until 26 May.

The aim of the survey is to collect anonymous diversity data, beyond the scope of the standard data collected in the Institute's membership database.

"Data is crucial to us being able to identify diversity trends and gaps and create policies and programs to improve diversity within the membership and the architectural profession more broadly," notes the Institute.

The information from the survey will be used to develop the Institute's first Diversity and Inclusion Policy, as well as informing future advocacy.

The survey is being conducted independently by Survey Matters. The Institute plans to share key findings from the survey by September or October. To complete the survey, head here.
